Kate Brown, former reviewer, and a cusp of Libra and Scorpio, has often been accused of being common sense with a temper. This has never, however, gotten in the way of her largesse or her finely tuned sense of humour.
She is a high school graduate with a certificate dated in the 80ís although she attended the school of hard knocks for ten years or better prior to achieving it. A proud survivor of the 70ís, her musical taste reflects her age, and her favorite musicians include Eric Clapton, Gordon Lightfoot, Jethro Tull, Emmylou Harris, Joan Baez -- and at times she even like a bubblegum band like the Archies.
She is married, to a true gentleman with limitless patience and the kindest of hearts. He is also very good at keeping the computer defragged, and their two cats out of her knitting basket. Her career has been largely confined to the raising of children, a huge undertaking of which she is most proud.
Her eldest is a 29 year old guitarist and Pink Floydd fanatic. Her middle child is lost somewhere in the 80ís musically, but they hope to convert her to something a bit more traditional one day. The youngest, a 21 year old, is a more sentimental sort and has a fairly wide range of taste. All three are avid readers, having been introduced to good classic fiction as children.
So she does hope that her perspective is helpful to readers and not entirely insulting to authors.
