Ed Dale, former reviewer, is a Professional do-gooder (health care law for elderly and poor - see this website) and bass player. Musical preferences cover a fairly broad range: Celtic, folk-rock, folk, jazz, world, blues, r&b, mostly older rock and has been in bands that have played most of these genres at one time or another. In addition to his main instruments (Martin acoustic bass guitar and electric and fretless electric basses), he also play bass fiddle, mandola, hammered dulcimer, diddles around on several other instruments, sings a bit (tenor/baritone), builds instruments (basses and hammered dulcimers), furniture and the like, writes the rare song and runs (books, MC's, lights and sound) musical events for a small arts center in Tolland, Connecticut.
