Spike Winch, Legendary Layabout, was a founding member of the legendary punk band, the Jap Zeros. Their two groundbreaking albums (@#$% the System and What @#$%in' System) began a promising career which was cut short by a tragic van crash into the River Mersey, resulting in the death of Spike's brother, Fred, who played bass and wrote the lyrics. Spike was lost, and thought dead. He showed up a few months ago, after years of laying low, when he walked into the Green Man Review offices looking for his old friend David Kidney. The staff of GMR adopted him, and found all sorts of things for him to do. His special knowledge of loud rock music makes him an invaluable addition to the staff.
